Launching the Jr. NBA World Championship


The inaugural year of the Jr. NBA World Championship, the NBA’s version of the Little League World Series, planned to launch in a big way, both domestically and internationally. The NBA needed a partner to join forces to produce all of the digital tools and platforms for users, teams and fans to experience the events and tournament play.


Utility was selected as the agency to oversee all digital design and technology for the Jr. NBA World Championship, creating all mobile and web applications and experiences for tournament information, registration, ticket sales, news, video, and real-time scores and brackets.

More than $1M+ in tickets processed

The event saw thousands of prospects, dozens of countries represented, and more than $1M+ ticket fees processed.

An interactive, organized experience

Parents, coaches, players and fans were able to easily navigate around the tournament info and stay connected throughout.

The first-ever tournament was a smashing success, with hundreds of teams signing up seamlessly and hundreds of thousands of fans tuning in. The NBA's executive leadership instantly approved the new venture to continue into future years, seeing this as one of the important pillars for the growth of the NBA across the globe.
